1.) How's life on this tour been so far?
So far my tour for today has consisted of waking up and driving to kyle's house, so we'll just speak for touring in general. Touring gives us a chance to hang out a lot, play awesome places, meet cool new people and get wild, so tour is awesome.
2.) Do you prefer tours like this or huge festivals with multiple
bands playing at once?
Well, with as many people as we met on Ozzfest last year, it's hard to say we prefer the van to a bus, but nothing lasts forever. Playing a fest like Bamboozle was a lot of fun because we got to see a lot of friends/make a lot of new ones and see a lot of awesome bands, but having a new experience and playing with different bands every night always seems to have it's perks. So I think we're all content with doing what we're doing and every once in awhile playing a larger show, or festival, although we've only played one.
3.) When you guys are on the road, what do you usually do?
Well this past tour we saved a puppy, climbed a plateau, went swimming in the ocean, and took a ferry. To be completely honest though, most of our time on the road is spent making up false scenarios and repeating the same jokes no one else gets, so on the road, we don't really seem like a band, more of a group of young men trying to find themselves, and the answers.
4.) What would you say is the biggest sacrifice you had to make be in
Fireworks?
We have to lose jobs, not go to school and fight with our friends/girlfriends a lot more. Thats about it, but everyday is a sacrifice when you give your life to a dark power.
5.) Which bands are your biggest Influences?
We hate to be typical, but there is an endless list of bands/artists who influence us. Some of the big ones are stuff we've grown up with and loved forever, like rancid, saves the day etc.
6.) Where did you get your inspiration from for your music (other
bands, family, etc.)?
This life of utter shit. you know what we mean.
7.) As a musician, what do you consider to be "making it big"?
Any band that is having fun making the music they want to make, and doing what they're doing, whether it's touring non-stop or recording a couple demos in their friends basement, as long as your happy playing the music you want to play, you win.
